Tour Highlights

Since 1938 the Spokane Lilac Festival Association has been celebrating the Spokane community. The annual week of festivities combines the city’s famous lilacs with community events to paint the town purple, culminating in the nation’s largest Armed Forces Torchlight Parade in downtown Spokane honoring their military and empowering youth! Every year a parade crowd of over 150,000 spectators, plus those marching, gather in Spokane for this beloved event. The yearly festivities commence the second Saturday of May and culminate on the third Saturday of May when the lilacs are fully in bloom, but even before this week, there are activities and events leading up to the festival.

What happens at the Lilac Festival?

Each spring, thousands of attendees come out to enjoy the unique and pedestrian friendly 4th Street venue, offering an array of musical talent, artisan vendors, quality entertainment and some perfect people watching.

Our stay is at the Davenport Grand with the parade starting outside our front door!

Events during the festival include; Spokane Lilac Festival Brewfest, Spokane Lilac Festival President’s Gala, Lilac Legacy Art Show & Competition, Cruzin’ The Falls Car Show and the highlight of the festival, the Armed Forces Torchlight Parade. Downtown includes many dining options, restaurants, pubs, craft beer, great shopping and riverwalks and parks.

Life Time Highs first pickup is at the DoubleTree Hotel on 16 Ave NE Calgary, with pickups at DeerFoot Inn, High River, Fort MacLeod, Lethbridge and overnighting at St. Eugene Resort. The second day gets us into Spokane with a stop along the way for lunch.

Spokane stay features 3 nights at the Davenport Grand Hotel on the River Front featuring my walk paths, a Carousal and the Sky Ride over the Spokane Falls just outside our Hotel’s front doors. Included is a city tour that takes you by Bing Crosby’s house, a visit to Barrister’s Winery, Spokane Valley Mall and Hobby Lobby.

While in Spokane, also enjoy a City a Tour with Step on Guide, Stroll the Waterfront, take the Gondola over Spokane Falls, or enjoy a carousal rider.

This tour also includes one night at St. Eugene Resort at Cranbrook and also includes A Coeur d’Alene Lake cruise!
