ITINERARY

D1 JOHANNESBURG (South Africa)   We’ll meet up at the hotel at 11:30 a.m. Transfer to downtown. Visit to the Apartheid Museum, recognised worldwide as the first museum dealing with the history of the 20 century in South Africa. Panoramic tour of the city. Welcome, installation, dinner and overnight at the hotel.

D2 JOHANNESBURG • KASANE • ARRIVAL AT THE LODGE    (South Africa – Botswana – Namibia)  Flight from Johannesburg to Kasane (Botswana). Transfer to CroisiEurope lodge by private boat. On the way, observation of different bird species living in these flooded plains. Introduction of the crew and welcome cocktail. Overnight at the lodge.

D3 CHOBE NATIONAL PARK (Namibia – Botswana)  Full-day safari in Jeeps to explore the Chobe National Park and sailing the Chobe river on a small private boat. Overnight at the lodge.

D4 IMPALILA ISLAND (Namibia)  Visit authentic villages to discover the traditional Namibian houses, culture and customs. In the afternoon, free time at the lodge or join a tour on the Zambezi river on a small private boat. Tonight, let your guide tell you all about the traditions of this particular island. Overnight at the lodge.

D5 KASANE • LAKE KARIBA • BOARDING THE SHIP    (Namibia – Botswana – Zimbabwe)  One last water safari in the Chobe National Park area. Flight from Kasane to Kariba. Boarding the ship. Introduction of the crew and welcome cocktail. Sailing across Lake Kariba. With its 200 km / 140 mi length and 40 km / 25 mi width, the lake flooded flatlands, hills and forests alike, creating unique and emblematic landscapes. Overnight on board.

D6 LAKE KARIBA • SAILING TO SPURWING ISLAND    (Zimbabwe)  Sailing through the rare and mysterious landscapes of Lake Kariba. Discover the small waterways going into the Matusadona National Park on a small private boat. Sailing in the direction of Palm Bay. Set out on a small private boat to admire the sunset. Overnight on board.

D7 LAKE KARIBA • MATUSADONA NATIONAL PARK    (Zimbabwe) In the morning safari in Jeeps to discover the wildlife of Matusadona National Park. This wild territory is home to many species of animals such as elephants, hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes but also thousands of birds. Afternoon sailing on Lake Kariba. A round table will be the opportunity to learn more about the creation and inhabitants of the Lake. Overnight on board.

D8 KARIBA • VICTORIA FALLS (Zimbabwe)   Sunrise sailing towards Kariba to disembark. En route to the airport discover the gigantic Kariba Dam which was created in 1955 to form Lake Kariba. Flight from Kariba to Victoria Falls. Lunch cruise on the Zambezi River. In the afternoon, tour on foot of the Victoria Falls: their numerous views are among the most exceptional on the planet. Overnight at the hotel.

D9 VICTORIA FALLS    Optional: early morning helicopter flight over Victoria Falls (must be reserved upon booking). End of services at the hotel.  (1) Optional excursion. Subject to favourable weather conditions and to reservation at time of booking
